Air Cooled Heat Exchanger for Fin Fan Air Cooler

Air Cooled Heat Exchanger is designed on Exchanger Suite 6.0 in HTRI. HTRI is the Global leader in Heat Transfer & Heat Exchanger Technology. The whole model is compiled in Xace of HTRI Exchanger Suite Because the number of tube rows, the face area, the air face velocity, and the geometry of the surface can all be varied, it is possible to generate many solutions to a given thermal problem. An optimum solution in terms of capital and operating costs has to found out. Percentage of over design, effectiveness of ACHE for fin fan air cooler is simulated using HTRI Model. CAD Model of ACHE is generated from the details. Structural and CFD Analysis of Header and footer geometry is carried out to check the integrity of the design components.

  • Base line design of muck bucket was found failing near the shaft and the bucket mating area.
  • Maximum stresses on the Muck bucket is more than the yield stress of steel
  • Thickness of the shaft box is increased to give more strength to shaft box.
  • Analysis is carried out on the new design and New design is found out to conform to the safety limits of material.

Low cost, simple till over mechanism for unloading muck bucket was developed maintaining the bucket design to withstand the rough operating conditions, longer life, high factor of safety. Shearing , shaft failure in the initial design were modified to develop, a stiffer muck bucket model.


Damper design

The louver type of damper consists of several blades mounted parallel across a duct, with centrally pivoted shafts extending out through a frame and driven by a linkage. Louver dampers are versatile, able in theory to handle any application in the power plant. OPPOSED BLADES LOUVER DAMPERS are the most effective type of damper for controlling the flow of gases with the least disturbance to flow in ducts.

  • Double Louver Dampers: The Double Louver Damper is used to combine flow control with the capability of 100 % isolation. The damper is configured with two rows of blades in a common frame.
  • BUTTERFLY DAMPERS: These can be manufactured circular or rectangular, in a variety of configurations to suit a multitude of applications. Although mainly used for isolation, they can be used for control.

Design of dampers of all types from Louvre dampers to butterfly dampers based on requirement complying with the standards.


Industrial Fans made efficient employing CFD analysis

The performance curves of a turbo machine is obtained by theory, computation. The experimental analysis is difficult, costly and time consuming. To evaluate predicted performance of theoretical design, various computational methods are available. They offer optimum design solutions without actual fabrication or making prototypes which save time and expenditure..

The recirculation and separation phenomenon of fluid flow is observed inside centrifugal fan passages specifically near tongue region. The results of this numerical analysis shows similar trend to standard performance curves and validates unified design methodology


Centrifugal Pump Design and Analysis

Centrifugal pumps are used extensively for pumping water over short to medium distance through pipeline where the requirements of head and discharge are moderate.

  • We enhanced the performance of the centrifugal pump through design modification of impeller.
  • Studied in detail characteristic theories on pump.
  • Vane profile of the impeller is generated using standard methods.

The impeller is modelled in CATIA designing software and CFD analysis is done predict the performance of the pump and a comparative analysis is made for the entire control volume by varying meshing


Design And Development of Industrial Vacuum Cleaner With Multi Cyclone Separator Technology

In our Vacuum cleaners for industrial and house hold, we have implemented cyclone separator technology. In order to improve the efficiency , elimination of bag, separating motor from the flow path. Separation of motor from flow path allows vacuum cleaner to be used for wet and dry applications. Based on air flow requirements industrial vacuum cleaner was de-signed and developed .

Design of customized vaccum cleaning systems validated using high end CAE and CFD codes for industrial and heavy dust affected applications.
